Women in Construction & Engineering Speaker Series
Julie supports, inspires and mentors women and girls to fulfil their maximum potential. She has touched the hearts and minds of countless professionals and engineers to make a meaningful difference in their lives. She is passionate about increasing the participation of women in engineering and leadership roles and creating opportunities for minority groups in the industry.
Julie left school at the age of 16 without the qualifications to continue. She got a local job, in the local village and ultimately pursued a career in engineering. After 12 years of study she graduated with a Bachelor with honours in Civil engineering. She is now the Engineering New Zealand Auckland Chapter chair and is only the 3rd female to hold this role in the last 100 years.
